The training field of Ribeirão Futebol Clube benefited from a set of works in the changing rooms, an intervention that brought "a very qualitative leap to this infrastructure and the sport practice of these athletes", as mentioned by the Club President, Rui Oliveira.
The work that counted with a municipal investment of 44,500 thousand euros was inaugurated last Wednesday by the mayor, Paulo Cunha, and by the town councillor for sports, Mário Passos.
Paulo Cunha stressed the importance of these works for the club, the athletes and the village of Ribeirão. "This complex was born quite a few years ago and has been benefiting from constant improvements which allows it to continue to meet the needs and expectations of the club and the village".
"It is the result of a work that the Town Hall has been developing all over the territory in a permanent collaboration with the parish councils and with the associations in favour of the communities", explained the mayor.
Ribeirão 1968 Futebol Club was originally founded in 1968 as Grupo Desportivo de Ribeirão, having disputed during several years the national championships of the extinct III Division and II Division and current National Senior Championship. Currently it disputes the Honour Division of AF Braga, in the Stadium of Passal.
